On 17–18 April, the city of Tulcea hosted the seminar ‘Educational Bridges: Strategies for Integration and Socialisation in Border Regions’ — a landmark event organised as part of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021–2027 programme. Our project “Improving access to education in border regions as a key factor for socialisation and integration into the European Union” (code ROUA00342) brought together educators, experts and people dedicated to a single goal: supporting communities and promoting access to inclusive education.

Over the course of two days, the programme was packed with intensive activities: Day 1 was devoted to identifying practical needs and conducting a diagnostic analysis, during which we discussed teachers’ experiences of teaching the Ukrainian language and adapting it to local circumstances. The second day focused on the exchange of best practices, socialisation strategies and modern teaching methods to promote European integration through the study of native languages.
