We are preparing to launch language courses: a working meeting was held to select teachers

On 27 February, the Learn Across Borders project team held a working meeting. The main topic was how exactly we will select teachers and organise the teaching of Ukrainian and Romanian as foreign languages.

Our aim within the project is to launch free Romanian language courses in Ukraine and Ukrainian language courses in Romania. As the audience will be very diverse (ranging from children to adult displaced persons), it is crucial for us to find specialists who are familiar with modern teaching methods.

During the meeting, we discussed the following in detail:
- Selection criteria. What requirements do we set for prospective teachers to ensure that teaching is as effective as possible?
- Methodology. How to adapt the curriculum to the needs of specific groups (for example, to facilitate the rapid integration and employment of adults, or to support the gentle socialisation of children).
- The specifics of teaching. How to ensure that course participants overcome the language barrier as quickly as possible.

We’ll be announcing the start of classes very soon. Stay tuned for updates.
